John Netto is the author of The Global Macro Edge and the creator of the Juris-Macro Investment Framework, a method for evaluating regulatory environments, statutory frameworks, and company-specific legal exposure within a global macro context. Mr. Netto is also a licensed attorney in the State of Nevada. Before entering the legal profession, he spent more than two decades as a derivatives trader and macro risk specialist, developing and executing frameworks for understanding volatility, event risk, and cross-asset positioning. The combination of trading, law, and risk informs how he approaches the markets and his legal practice (uorlegal.com). He is also currently completing his MBA at UNLV’s Lee Business School, with coursework focused on data-driven decision making in accounting, M&A, financial modeling, and entity taxation—all approached through an applied-AI lens that integrates statistical modeling with legal and corporate analysis. Mr Netto earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from UNLV’s Boyd School of Law, where he externed with the Nevada Supreme Court and the ADR/Discovery Commission.
