So, You Want to Become a Professional Trader?

If you are reading this page, you have probably been curious about the steps it takes to become a professional trader. Being curious is great, but being serious is what becoming a professional trader is all about. In choosing to become a professional trader you are making the conscience decision to advance to a level of trading that allows you many opportunities you do not currently have, if you are only trading your own money.

Trust me when I say that many traders I have met aspire to become professionals, but few reach that goal, mostly due to a lack of dedication and poor work habits. If I play golf everyday for 10 years, I can call myself a golfer, but not a pro. The same holds true with trading.

Experience in the trenches only means you’ve been there. Do not confuse “having been there” experience with owning the knowledge and ability it takes to do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, as good as anyone.
